A Denim Tattoo Parlor Experience

To celebrate the Trucker jacket’s 50th anniversary, Levi’s transformed the entrance of its London flagship store into a temporary denim tattoo parlor. For six weeks, fans had the chance to print limited edition artwork onto their denim jackets. This event featured designs from five of the UK’s most influential tattoo artists: Jean Le Roux, Otto D’ambra, Deno Tattoo, Manuela Gray, and Dominique Holmes.

This unique customization event perfectly aligned with Levi’s tradition of innovation and creativity. It offered customers the chance to personalize their jackets with designs from renowned tattoo artists, celebrating the jacket’s legacy with a modern twist.

The Unique Customization in-store experience

The store’s interior was designed to mimic a traditional tattoo parlor, creating an immersive experience for shoppers. Designs were displayed on specially built mannequins and interactive screens, allowing customers to view and choose their preferred artwork with the help of knowledgeable staff.

Upon entering the store, friendly staff guided customers through the customization process. Interactive screens, powered by YR’s platform, allowed customers to preview how each design would look on a denim jacket. Expert advice helped ensure each customer selected a design that matched their personal style.

Advanced Printing Technology

Once a design was chosen, customers watched their jackets being printed live using YR’s advanced direct-to-garment technology. This state-of-the-art printing method ensured seamless integration of the artwork into the denim, creating a high-quality, durable finish. The entire process took just three minutes, adding instant gratification to the experience.

Finishing Touches

After printing, each jacket was carefully boxed with a certificate of authenticity and issue number, emphasizing the exclusivity of these unique pieces. Each jacket came in a custom Levi’s box, making it a perfect gift or keepsake.

Exclusive Availability

The limited edition jackets were highly exclusive, with only fifty of each design available at the London store. This exclusivity increased the event’s allure as fans eagerly sought to own a piece of this special collection. For those unable to visit London, Levi’s offered additional designs printed onto fabric panels at select stores, including Carnaby Street, Manchester Arndale, Leeds, Nottingham, Brighton, Bristol Cabot, and Regent Street.
